   Panelized log homes and cabins construction began in 1983, after eight years of building conventional and Small log cabins homes in Ellijay, Georgia and the North Georgia area. Several rainy months made log homes and cabins construction very difficult. The log homes and cabins we had under construction were without roofs for long periods of time and were suffering water damage. It was then we thought there had to be a better way to get log homes and cabins under roof quickly, and achieve a better quality, lower priced product. That's when we had the idea for panelized log homes and cabins kits. After we had constructed our first log cabins kits inside, out of the elements, and away from the Georgia Red muddy job sites we were convinced. Since then we have build hundreds of log homes and cabins kits in our clean dry factory just north of Ellijay Georgia. The log homes and cabins kits are built one home one panel at a time, by our own highly skilled employees. Jigs are used to clamp each panel into place for close tolerances, and a higher degree of fit and finish. Windows are pre installed, and log siding applied. Our standard log siding is twelve inch eastern white pine chink log. Door openings are pre installed in walls. Gables have siding installed, and gable overhang finishes are pre installed. Only a small amount of trim is required to complete the log homes and cabins kits exterior which is supplied and shipped separate. Our log cabins homes kits are more energy efficient, with low-e windows, and house wrap (styrofoam insulation optional) than most log homes.
