Ask Connor Construction

If you have questions, comments, or suggestions. ASK THE BUILDER!

Dennis Wilson asks "I would love for you to come to our Advisory Meeting this Thursday at 5:30 at Gilmer County High School, Dennis Wilson, Construction Teacher GHS dennis.wilson@gilmerschools.com"

This question has not yet been answered.

Leo Cleversley asks "What is the wind rating on these homes? I live in Richmond Hill, Ga and need a minimum of 120mph wind rating to build. My email is LCLEVERSLEY@HOTMAIL.COM"

We can build it to local codes.

Scott Rollins asks "We live in Robertsdale Alabama #1 would you travel that far to deliver and erect and #2 we need a wind restriction of 150 mph do your homes meet that?"

Yes we deliver and erect in Alabama. Yes we can build in high wind areas.

Scott Rollins asks "If we provide the foundation to your measurements and the foundation is concrete peirs approx 2 feet above grade do we also provide a treated wood band all the way around or just the peirs and you take it from there?"

You would need to put a beam all the way around the outside of the foundation and piers in the center. A solid foundation is much cheaper and better. Pier foundations are usually only done in flood areas and built high off the ground.
