Ask Connor Construction

If you have questions, comments, or suggestions. ASK THE BUILDER!

Jeanine John asks "We are want to build a vacation cabin in Granby colorado I already own several building sites. Is this an area you would consider coming to it is about 1500 miles and is it any problem to deal with the large snow load and higher wind requirements here"

Yes we can come to Colorado. We should be able to meet snow and wind loads.

George Mains asks "How much for the 1450 configured with separate front & back covered porches."

This question has not yet been answered.

Randy asks "You seem to be going farther away to build/erect that in years past. what are the chances of you erecting your 2000 sq ft in the eureka springs ark area (abt 720 mile from elijah)?? any homes to view in nw ark??"

Yes we can. We may be doing a 2000 square foot home in Huntsville Arkansas only a few miles from you.

Dominick asks "On your walls you have 1/2" styrofoam and chink siding what about sheathing , wrap etc....."

The r-3 styrofoam with taped joints is a much better moisture barrier than house wrap. Very air tight and energy efficient. Walls have let in bracing. The state of Georgia has blower door testing for air infiltration. Styrofoam is also used on the sole plates. Energy codes are here and N.C. other states are soon to follow. This is a lot more expensive system than the cheaper way that most homes are being built. Come look at our shell model it is built this way.
